The Hainan Province Public Security Bureau (PSB) Foreign NGO Management Office issued a registration certificate to the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Representatives from the Hainan Health Commission also attended the ceremony.
A PSB representative congratulated A4M, then listed three work requirements for the organization: first, the organization shall carry out project activities in China in strict accordance with the Foreign NGO Law for the benefit of the Hainan Free Trade Zone; second, it shall submit its annual activity plan and annual work report in a timely fashion, and consciously accept supervision and management; and third, it shall strengthen communication with Professional Supervisory Units and the PSB, and actively offer them feedback and suggestions.
A Hainan Health Commission representative said that A4M serves as a benchmark for the province, as it is the first foreign NGO registered in the health field in Hainan. The Health Commission expects A4M to actively play a leading role in helping the health sector meet international standards. The Chief Representative of A4M’s Hainan representative office pledged to carry out project projects and activities in accordance with the law and introduce the advanced anti-aging concepts and technologies of the United States into Hainan, injecting new vitality into Hainan's development.
The Shanghai Municipal Education Commission recently held a meeting with foreign affairs directors at various colleges and universities in the city. Representatives from the Shanghai PSB Foreign NGO Management Office were invited to conduct a special training on the Foreign NGO Law. In addition to the heads of foreign affairs offices from universities in Shanghai, the city’s Foreign Affairs Office, Taiwan Affairs Office, and other relevant offices attended the meeting and exchanged ideas.
A PSB representative discussed cooperation and exchanges between Shanghai universities and foreign NGOs, focusing on work standards, filing procedures, and other such matters. The PSB representative responded to questions that various university foreign affairs offices had encountered while filing temporary activities, which further deepened the university staff’s understanding of the Foreign NGO Law.
At the invitation of the province’s Federation of Overseas Chinese, the Guizhou Province PSB Foreign NGO Management Office recently sent staff to offer instruction on cooperating with foreign NGOs in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Foreign NGO Law. More than 80 officials from the provincial, municipal, and county levels of the federation, as well as some instructors from the Guizhou Socialist Academy, participated in the meeting.
A PSB officer explained the background of the Foreign NGO Law, the spirit of the law and the interpretation of relevant provisions. The officer also described foreign NGO registration processes in Guizhou, focusing registration and record filing procedures in Guizhou with an eye to the actual work of the federation.
Participants said the workshop increased their understanding of foreign NGOs and knowledge of the Foreign NGO Law. They believed the meeting would help guide their exchanges and cooperation with foreign NGOs. They pledged to carry out such cooperation in strict accordance with the relevant provisions of the Foreign NGO Law and to actively contribute to Guizhou's economic and social development and poverty alleviation.
