According to information from the MInistry of Public Security’s website, a new Professional Supervisory Unit (PSU) became a foreign NGO sponsor last month. The Guangdong Youth Federation, a provincial-level branch of the All-China Youth Federation, sponsored The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. Notably, the All-China Youth Federation was not included on the official 2017 list of possible PSUs, meaning it is now one of more than 10 entities which are serving as foreign NGO PSUs despite not being initially listed as a possible sponsor. (The All-China Youth Federation is separate from the Communist Youth League of China.)
Further information about foreign NGO registrations and temporary activities through the end of October is available through our suite of data visualizations as well as on our temporary activity and representative office pages.
